“Contra dancing has been around since the 1700s. If you don’t know it — it’s kind of like square dancing but with long lines of dancers. The dance is having a renaissance around the country thanks to a thriving youth scene.” From an NPR broadcast.
To be part of the thriving scene on our rock, come to the San Juan Island Grange Hall at 7PM on Saturday November 18. You don;t need a partner, every dance is taught, and your fellow dancers are fun and forgiving.
